Secure Door Entry System Information
Secure Door Entry System Information
Dear Parents/Guardians,
In an effort to maintain the safety of all of the students at the Bridgeport Elementary School, we have recently installed a secure door entry system.
All entry doors will be locked during the school day from 8:45 AM through 3:00 PM. All parents, volunteers, and visitors will need to use the intercom at the main door. When a person arrives, they will have to push the appropriate buzzer, which will then alert the office staff via a monitor and intercom. Once the person is identified, they will be buzzed in and instructed to check in at the office.
All visitors upon entering the building must sign in and get a visitor’s sticker. The visitor will wear this sticker while in the school or on the grounds, and will return the badge to the office immediately prior to leaving the grounds.
All school employees will be instructed to direct any visitors not wearing a visitor's sticker to the office. If the visitor does not comply, the staff member will notify the office personnel immediately.
Visitors should not visit classes, seek to conference with teachers, or pupils during school hours without permission from the principal. Visits arranged in advance are desirable.
We appreciate your cooperation with this new procedure.
Sincerely,
Mary Farber
Principal
