This is a college freshman Biology course.  It is appropriate for outstanding students who are strong in both science and math.  A student considering this course should have taken Chemistry.  The course involves extensive laboratory work, readings, and lectures. The course includes a focus on preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination that, with a high enough score, is widely accepted by colleges and universities across the country.  The exam is required.  The fee is approximently $80.00.  (1.50 unit) Prerequisite:  Biology R and Chemistry R.

Marking Period grades are based on labs, tests, projects,chapter outlines, and participation.  Students will be able to access their year long grades on mygradebook.com and their AP grades will be available in July.
