In the Chittenango Orchestra Program, students have the opportunity to learn to play a stringed instrument: violin, viola, cello or bass. Orchestra musicians meet once a week in small group instrument lessons. They also meet once a week for orchestra rehearsal, which combines all of the instruments mentioned above. For concert and lesson schedule information, click on your school’s page on the top menu.
I invite you to visit the Chittenango Music Boosters Association Webpage. This organization raises money for many aspects of our music program, such as awarding scholarships for summer music camps and bringing special groups to the school, such as the group Project Trio that visited in October 2011! Please consider getting involved.
Additional concert dates and info about our music department can be found here.
