  1. Please review the Student Handbook for important information about our school.


  1. Educational Trip forms can be obtained from the office or click:  Educational Trip Form.


  1. During morning arrival please note that all students not riding the bus to school must be dropped off in the designated area near the cafeteria, not in the front of the building for safety reasons.  Parents should not drop off students before 7:15 a.m. as there is no supervision in the building.


  1. Our fax number is 687-2801


  1. If your child stays 10th period; parents please review late bus numbers with your child so they know what bus to ride.  This information can be obtained by calling Transportation at 687-2615.


  1. Bus Passes:  If your child needs to ride a bus other than their normal bus, a request in writing is required with your child’s destination and the bus number to be taken.  Please remember to date your request and remind your child to drop it off in the office before school begins so that a bus pass can be issued.


  1. Please call attendance at 687-2803 when your child is absent from school.


  1. The lost and found is located in our cafeteria.  Please have your child check there if they are missing items.


  1. All donations of Box Top$ for Education are gladly accepted.  Please place them in the box outside the Library Media Center.  Our Middle School receives 10 cents for every box top we collect.  Thank you in advance for bringing in any Box Top$ for Education you can find.

A-Day




Announcements:


  1. Only 8th grade Girls Choir members are to report for rehearsal today.


  1. Attention Drama Club!  There will be practice today; this was updated yesterday.  If you are on academic probation, please see Mrs. Ceilly about your eligibility.


  1. Today is a very important meeting for Library Advisory Board Students.  Work assignments for the Book Fair will be given.  Please meet in the library promptly period 10 today.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                


  1. Game-a-palooza and movie day scheduled for today has been canceled; not enough tickets were purchased pre-sale.


  1. Attention Mrs. Pace’s first semester art students:  If your wire sculpture is in the library, please come and pick it up ASAP!  Thanks!


  1. Attention 8th graders:  If Ms. Tash kept something of yours for the School Fair, it is now ready to go home.  Please make arrangements to take your artwork home.  The same goes for the Calabash projects that are still in the library.


  1. This Friday, May 18th is the beginning of the Library’s Book Fair!  All day Friday, the Book Fair will be open to students to browse and purchase.  Next week, ELA classes are scheduled to come to the fair.  Take advantage of Friday’s opening day and purchase a book, poster, or school supply before anything gets sold out!


  1. The last Harry Potter Club meeting has been changed to Friday, June 1st during 10th period in room 116.


  1. The last Art club meeting is Tuesday, May 22nd.  We will meet in the library during 10th period to look at Ms. Tash’s artwork.


  1. Yearbooks are still available; the price is $27. Order forms were sent home with students; additional forms can be obtained in the office.  Yearbooks can also be ordered online, please see the link on our Home Page.
